A good day indeed :)

So, it's November 19th. And as many of you might be aware, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows came on in the cinema today. I went and saw it in the morning and OMG IT WAS BLOODY FANTASTIC! lol. I would so go back and see it again.
Also, after months and months of painful living, I FINALLY HAVE THE INTERNET!!!
so after all this time, i no longer have an excuse to not do my work lol.
damnit.

so yes, expect a few more posts soon.

The best friend went to Uni the other day. She left me :( sadtimes. She's gone to Birmingham so i wish her all the luck in the world :)
But before she left, she brought me a little present from work. Seeing as i love Toy Story so much, she brought some 3D stickers which i will no doubt attach to my laptop at some point, then the big thing, is a money box! a huge one infact. But once it's full i have to open it with a tin open, so i have to ruin it. Which i'm not looking forward too.

But i love the bestfriend. That's all that counts.

I miss the internet :(

So, i still haven't got the internet sorted yet in my house, which is really bad considering we start uni in a few weeks haha. shiiiite.

So i haven't updated yet, and the only time i get a chance to use the internet, i'm doing my summer project work where i pretty much have to stalk editors, designers, photographers, make-up artists and hairdressers. sounds odd right?

Anyway i was looking up one designer who i love. Vera Wang :)
i think she's super pretty :)
Fingers crossed if i get married one day, that i have enough money to buy one of her wedding dresses. This one is one of my favourites by her. However i'm not too keen on the green ribbon around the waiste, i think a black or a red would look better. But it's such a pretty dress!

I was messing around with photoshop today, and i tried a few things out.
The top image i tried out a Dave Hill kind of look. I'm not sure if i like it or not, i mean, the detail is quite good, but meh i don't know. thoughts?
The bottom image is of my friend Steff. It's originally her photo, i saw it and wanted to edit it. However i wasn't able to get the original photo, so i had to take it from her Facebook account, which is why the quality isn't that great, and it comes up as a smaller image than the previous ones. I quite like how this image turned out, i think it's pretty rad :)

Can i have your opinions please? i really can't decide if i like them.

BTW the original images are on the left, and the edited ones are on the right.

TOY STORY 3!!!!

So Toy Story 3 came out this week, to say i was little excited!!
I am obsessed with Toy Story. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
I saw it on its day of release, in 3D. However it really didn't need to be in 3D but i guess the picture quality was much better.

The movie was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! better than i expected actually. A good character in this one is Ken, i think he's brilliant! haha :)
Went out last night and bless one of my best m8s, she brought me a goody bag! haha and here it is above in the photo :)
i was super excited when she gave me it! haha
Unfortunately i couldn't hold the bag, put my thumb up and take a photo at the same time, so it's awkwardly done haha.

Pressiesss

So Tuesday, i went to Cambridge with my nan, father and bf. Went to buy a few things for the house, and my birthday is coming up in a month, so i managed to buy a few bedroom things, then i found the most gorgeous pair of shoes!
Because i'm not back home now again until my birthday weekend (for all who don't know.. 21st August!) My nan brought me my present now :)

So here is 2 of the photos that were taken on the trip to London with the bf. Unfortunately, others i can not put on here, as the bf decided to amuse himself by taking photos of boobies that were on the models and statues.
The second one (if posted correctly) should be of a fat Chinese man, and i think that this was taken in the Museum of Natural History.
The first image was also taken from the same place, it's obviously a dinosaur skeleton! But i found it rather cool! :)

We also went to the Science Museum and the British Museum which were rather cool :) (geeking it up i know) then off to Oxford Street, unfortunately i didn't buy anything, the weather made me rather moody, it started off grey, then it was hot, then it poured down with rain and i was wearing sandals so my feet were SOAKED! Then my feet were hurting, and i was tired. I know i annoyed the hell out of the bf with all my moaning, so i would like to just take this time to apologise for my annoyance, i'm sorry, i really did have a good day out :)

We've been together for 6months now! :)

I must say, they have been the most amazing 6months ever!

They aren't very good pictures, however this is my transition from Halls to House. Not sure if you can tell, but compared to Halls, my room is massive!!! Infact it's not only the biggest bedroom, it's only the biggest room in the entire house! :) WIN! haha.

Its been a while!

Sorry for the lack of blogs recently (for anyone that actually reads mine) to say i've been rather busy since our last blog.
I've moved out of halls and into a house!!!! :O
all grown up now me! :)

It was a mental day to say the least, but now i'm pretty much moved in minus the odd bit.

What else has happened??

I'm sure i shall update you soon, infact, i may make a few more posts to keep you up to date with what i have done... first of all though... DINNER! :)

oh dear... disappointment!

For anyone who didn't watch the match yesterday... WHY THE HELL NOT?!?!

as you can see with the title of this point.. it didn't go too well, VERY badly infact, Germany scored the first goal, then within a matter of minutes, they scored again making it 2-0 then amazingly out of nowhere England scored, hurrah! Like Germany, we then scored another goal within minutes, but unfortunately, the goal wasn't allowed, which was bloomin stupid because it was definitely a goal, the lines man needs to find a new job if you ask me!
Second half, and England's performance went downhill, which i didn't know was possible considering they were all ready playing absolute crap!

To sum the game up, it was total pants and we lost 4-1. So England are out of the World Cup, which after yesterdays performance, they deserve to be.

So i went to drown my sorrows yesterday, carried on drinking through the game, and after lol. At one stage i almost chundered everywhere! (for all of you who don't know what chunder is, it's being sick)luckily i wasn't sick. I passed out for about an hour after that, then went to a party in one of the other halls of residence, that was fun haha. I feel a bit shit today though, i did chunder this morning though :( that was not fun.

Points of the story.... I knew England would go out the world cup, don't drink if your team loses, and especially.. don't carry on drinking knowing you're past your limit.

Today is the England v Germany game!

BLOODY COME ON ENGLAND! :)

not quite sure where i'm watching it today, there's 2 choices, the common room of halls, or round the bf's friends house, But what with it being 1.30pm already, and me wanting to watch the first commentary part which starts at 2.15, that doesn't give us much time to decide and buy booze.

but tis exciting.

I feel quite confident with the England time, cos so far there are no injuries (touch wood) but i still have doubt that we're going to lose to Germany, they are after all a really good team this year.

Geek-ette

I watched a movie last night called Nowhere Boy (if you haven't heard about it, it's about a young John Lennon, played by Aaron Johnson, yumyum!, and you see his life before he was in The Beatles, it's really good! Anyway, in a few parts of the movie he wears these AMAZING glasses, quite like geek glasses, a few of the mods wore them back in the day, they were big when Buddy Holly was around, and I love them kind of glasses anyway, but after watching the movie lastnight with the bf I kept bugging him about them, so today we went into town, and walked into Primark, and amazingly, there they were!!! Being Primark, they were already going to be cheap... only £1!!!!! So the bf brought them for me and here they are, in all there glory!

Maybe I should ask my opticians if he could put my lenses into these glasses lol

(Btw i know they don't suit me, but aren't they just amazing!!)

Soppy Moment...

oooh haircut!

ooh so I'm posting twice today to make up for not writing for a while, not that i have many followers but it's nice to share things :)
I need a haircut, desperately, and i am so so picky on haircuts, i really want a fringe, but have been told that it wont suit me, so i have this as a 2nd option, for people who do actually read this, what ya think? does it looks alright? can i pull it off? i was also thinking off adding either a red tint to it or making my hair slightly more ginger.

Feeling all festively

SOOOO
The boyfriend managed to get 2 VIP tickets (for free) for the Isle of Wight festival last weekend. All we had to do was do flyering for 2 days and we got the tickets plus our travel paid for. We got our own camp site for staff, the use of VIP toilets, plus we were allowed to go backstage on one of the stages :)
The festival was AWESOME!! Saw Biffy Clyro (which were extraordinary!), Vampire Weekend, P!nk, and half of Florence and the Machine, Jay-Z, Paul McCartney to name a few.
However the down points of the trip were, the cheap Argos value tent we got, wasn't waterproof, so the first night when it rained, our stuff got a little wet haha.
Then the flyers we had to hand out where stupid masks of some band called 'Semi Precious Weapons' they were a little.... extreme haha, go check them out on facebook or myspace haha.
Then the worst part... OMG!... Our ferry for the home trip said 9.30am. We got told it was in the evening, so we packed our stuff up about lunchtime and had so many hours to kill, so we hung around in yates, then realised our ferry was actually at 09.30AM not PM!! which meant we had missed our ferry, so we booked another, but it wasn't until 10.30! so we had to wait even longer! Finally got home, and was totally exhausted!

However it was a great weekend :)

Sniff Sniff

Well this week has been interesting!
Firstly... I went out on Tuesday night with my bf and a few of his mates. Had a few drinks but wasn't exactly drunk, however I did start on an empty stomach which, as we all know, is never a good idea. Later on in the night, the guys got talking to a random girl in the pub and a little while later we moved over to their table and got talking to them. My boyfriend was out for a smoke, when along came an old man who looked like Bill Nighy (actor) he was pretty darn drunk, then he grabbed my hand as if to kiss it, but instead of kissing it, HE SNIFFED IT! now I know Southampton has a lot of weirdo's in, but that was beyond weird!
Wednesday though, I was so ill! Not hungover ill, just ill-ill. I also had to hand in work that day so it was a mission trying to get me into town to do it. Since Wednesday though, my stomach hasn't been right, I haven't been able to keep anything down, maybe I have a bug, but it only occurs when I consume alcohol, even if it's just a glass. Now being a student, it's not exactly something you want to happen. But i managed to hand in work! I HAVE OFFICIALLY FINISHED MY FIRST YEAR!!!!
heck yeah!

So by celebrating, I shall not be drinking whilst others around me have an absolutely amazing time! =/

Oh well, summer time!! :)

How the smallest thing's make you smile.

Well, where to begin.
Firstly, what is it with male drivers recently?! O-M-G! Yesterday I almost had my first car accident, this time it was a women driver who almost crashed into me, but since then, stupid male drivers who think they're amazing at the wheel have just been trying to hit my car! This morning down one road, some guy was actually driving on my side of the road AROUND A CORNER!!
Today on the other hand, has been a fairly good day, spent the day with the Bestie, brought a bit of jewellery, had a few laughs.
Then....
Got home, and tried to sort out my photo shoot with my sister, who then tells me that she is going round her boyfriend's tonight. Therefore, no photo shoot. Tomorrow is the only evening I have free before going back to Uni. So I told her, that I HAVE to do it then, her reply was "yes, but I'm going to the gym after work and wont be back till late'. Which means it's going to be dark when I get round to taking the photos, which is totally going to ruin them. I can't even use another model as she is already in half of them.
HELLO FAIL!

But yet, after all of that making me go insane, I read an email from my boyfriend, who I've only seen once in the last 3weeks. Telling me how excited he is for Saturday when I get to finally see him :)
I CANNOT WAIT!
It's the only thing getting me through the next 2 days.
So now I have a smile, it may only be small, but it's a smile none the less.

Gosh Uni work is a drag!

It's a Tuesday, the sun is slightly shining, it's a little chilly but still too nice to be doing nothing all day.
But I'm stuck doing Uni work, with the frustrating thing being my sister (being one of my models) is too busy to finish my first photo shoot, on top of that, I'm struggling with a male model, which means I have to use my boyfriend once I get back from the holiday. I'm not complaining as I find him quite attractive (obviously) but I have a week once I'm back to do that photo shoot, edit, then print it all out.
Tomorrow though I'm at the beach starting another shoot, which should be fun, providing the weather is on my side *fingers crossed*
I have 2sketchbooks to fill, I'm just over half way through for my research, but I'm nowhere near close to half in my context book, it's safe to say that I'm struggling a bit here.
With only this week and next week left before I go to Spain, will I get it all complete and printed?......
Let's hope so.

A day at the ZOO!!!!

So, It's the Easter holiday, and what better way to spend a Sunday afternoon, than at the Zoo!

With Elephant's being my favourite animal, they were a MUST see. After photographing one absolutely beautiful female Elephant, i was fortunate enough to then feed her. Was probably the highlight of my day. After that, was feeding time with the Giraffes, my two friends decided that they wanted to feed these so i stood by them and photographed it. May i say, that i was quite impressed with the outcome of these, especially one in particular, they were gorgeous!

You can't go to a Zoo and NOT see the Elephants, Giraffes, Lions and Tigers. Unfortunately though, the only male Lion of the Zoo had to be put down last week as it had a deteriorating illness, so the female Lion's had to be moved, so we weren't lucky enough to see them, next time though!

If you get a chance this year to go to the Zoo, THEN GO!!!

Re-live your childhood again, feed the Penguins, Elephants, Giraffes, Sheep, Horses and all the other animals at the zoo.
